Butter Love Bakeshop has been a long time in the making. Food has been not only a foundation in our family but an inspiration. Every major romance, new life, career, and business has been celebrated over a fabulous meal and most of those meals have ended with pie. Pie is somewhat of an old fashioned pastry that in recent times seems to be making a bit of a come back. Most people think of pie only during the holidays, well we think such an art form should be thought of always! Whether it be a breakfast or brunch pie, a light lunch, a snack, a comforting dinner, or a homey dessert, pie is love and love is best made with butter.
Esa has been working in the restaurant world since she was 16 years old and her husband Josh, who she met at the San Francisco City College Hotel and Restaurant program has made a career as a Chef and Sous Chef in many of San Francisco's finest restaurants, such as Zuni Cafe. Esa's career as a pastry Chef is well rounded by her experience in catering and as the Chef at the Spencer House, a former bed and breakfast. Combined they have over 40 years experience in the culinary world.
With the birth of their daughter, Esa was looking for a way to stay connected to her passion for food while making her children a priority. This became more and more difficult. Now she is ready to do it on her own terms! With the support of her husband and her mother's perfect recipe for pie dough, she is making pie!
So for the love of butter, Make Pie, Buy Pie, and Eat Pie!
